Dennis Lee Conger, 58, Prairie Village, KS, passed away Thursday, November 20, 1997, at his home, Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, November 22, at Country Club United Methodist Church, 57th and Wornall, Kansas City, MO 64114. Cremation. The family suggests contributions to Olathe Hospice, 20333 W. 151st St. Olathe, KS 66061; Excelsior Springs Medical Center, c/o Smoking Educational Foundation, 1700 Rainbow Blvd., Excelsior Springs, MO 64024; and/or the donor's choice.
Dennis was born in Kansas City, KS, on February 19, 1939, to Wilmer and Grace Conger. He was a member of the Country Club United Methodist Church. He received a BS In physical therapy from the University of Kansas, and was a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Missouri Physical Therapy Association. He belonged to Delta Upsilon Fraternity. After graduation, he worked for Research Hospital for several years He owned his own private practices, Jackson County Physical Therapy Clinic and Westowne Physical Therapy Clinic. At the time of his death Dennis was employed as assistant administrator and physical therapist at Excelsior Springs Medical Center, where he received the Honor of Caring Award. On Friday, November 21, a courtyard will be dedicated in his memory at Excelsior Springs Medical Center. Dennis is survived by his wife of 36 years, Linda of the home; daughter, Kathryn Kelly Conger, of the home; son, Scott Day Conger, Lawrenceburg, IN; brother and sister-in-law, Daryl acid Mary Conger, Sidney, NE; brother-in-law and wife, Dr. Don and Susie Day, Reno, NV; mother-in-law, Sally Day, Overland Park, KS; and sister-in-law, Judy Pugh, Reno, NV; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins, (Arrangements: Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee)
