=======================================================================================
NOTE: A story about graduation in The Ottawa Record for Friday, May 17, 1957, said that this was the eighty-second annual commencement for Ottawa High School.

The story said the seniors will march in to "Pomp and Circumstance" by Sir Edward Elgay, which will be played by the senior high orchestra, under the direction of William Barker. The story continued by stating that during the exercises the orchestra will play selections from "My Fair Lady" by Loewe. The chorale will sing "Greensleeves," "I Got Plenty O' Nuttin," and "Summertime." What all do you remember about graduation in 1957?

In The Ottawa Herald for May 29, 1957 was a small advertisement that said: "Congratulations to the High School Graduates of 1957. From a Member of the CLASS OF 1898, John G. Kaiser."
