During these assemblies the cheerleaders helped to build up enthusiasm and school spirit for the awaited game. A short skit was usually given, and one of the coaches talked about the coming game.</div> <bR> <div>     "Between the 'A' and 'B' basketball games the 'A' team cheerleaders usually did the 'Fight' yell.  When this yell was finished the "B" team cheerleaders joined them in the 'Alma Mater.'</div> <bR> <div> The '57 Recorder shows a photograph of the "A" team cheerleaders in the center of the basketball court and says, "At the closing of the school "Alma Mater" the 'A' team cheerleaders form an 'O' for the 'Victory Cheer."  (The cheerleaders were selected by a vote of the student
